$4,050.00

The AeroX AirID 240R is a 240 CFM refrigerated air dryer engineered to remove bulk moisture from compressed air systems. Delivering stable 35–50°F dew point performance, it protects dry ice blasters, compressors, and downstream equipment in continuous-duty industrial environments.

Description

❄️ AeroX AirID 240R

Refrigerated Air Dryer – 240 CFM Industrial Moisture Control

Dry Air. Stable Performance. Protected Equipment.

Moisture is one of the most damaging contaminants in any compressed air system. It causes corrosion, frozen lines, tool failure, inconsistent blasting performance, and premature wear on downstream equipment.

The AeroX AirID™ 240R is engineered to remove bulk moisture efficiently and reliably before it reaches your dry ice blaster, compressor components, or air tools.

Designed for professional and industrial environments, the AirID 240R delivers dependable dew point control with efficient operation and simple maintenance.

💧 How the AirID 240R Works

A refrigerated air dryer works by cooling compressed air to condense moisture out of it.

  1. Hot compressed air enters the dryer.
  2. The refrigeration circuit cools the air.
  3. Water vapor condenses into liquid.
  4. Moisture is separated and automatically drained.
  5. Dry air exits the system.

By lowering the air temperature, water vapor is removed before it can travel downstream.

🌡 Dew Point Performance

The AirID 240R maintains a pressure dew point range of:

35.6°F – 50°F

This is ideal for:

• Dry ice blasting systems
• Rotary screw compressor setups
• Automotive shops
• Manufacturing facilities
• Powder coating operations

For most shop and industrial environments, refrigerated drying is the ideal first stage of moisture control.

🆚 Refrigerated vs Desiccant Dryers

Understanding the difference helps you build the right system.

Refrigerated Dryer (AirID 240R)

✔ Removes bulk moisture
✔ Energy efficient
✔ Low maintenance
✔ Ideal for most industrial applications
✔ Continuous operation capability

Limitations:
• Cannot reach ultra-low dew points below freezing
• Not ideal for extreme cold climate lines without secondary drying

Desiccant Dryer (AirID Desiccant Series)

✔ Achieves very low dew points (down to -40°F to -68°F)
✔ Ideal for critical blasting or sensitive processes
✔ Required for extreme dry air applications

Trade-offs:
• Higher operating cost
• Periodic desiccant replacement
• Some purge air consumption (heatless models)

🏆 The Ideal Air System: Two-Stage Drying

In a properly designed system:

1️⃣ Refrigerated dryer removes bulk moisture
2️⃣ Desiccant dryer removes remaining vapor

Running both:

• Extends desiccant life
• Improves blasting consistency
• Protects pneumatic equipment
• Maximizes system reliability

AeroX can design a complete air system matched to your compressor and CFM requirements.
